Migrare non è soltanto spostarsi da un luogo a un altro, lasciare la propria terra, beni, affetti, radici, per raggiungere un posto spesso sconosciuto. Migrare è anche – a volte soprattutto – affrontare una viaggio lungo e rischioso, specie se appartieni a una delle fasce sociali più vulnerabili.

E’ quello che succede, ad esempio, ai minori non accompagnati durante gli spostamenti migratori.

In questi casi non si tratta di predisporre strutture e servizi di accoglienza per ricevere un flusso migratorio, bensì di accompagnare tale flusso durante il suo percorso.

Cosa succede durante il viaggio? Che cosa si attraversa? Quali sono i rischi, da dove e da chi provengono? Quali sono le vulnerabilità, quali i bisogni? Quel viaggio può essere reso più sicuro usando ciò che già c’è lungo il cammino? Cos’altro serve per mitigare i rischi? Quel viaggio può diventare anche un’occasione di empowerment?

I fenomeni complessi richiedono risposte complesse, nelle quali ogni professionalità – in modo transdisciplinare – può contribuire a individuare le soluzioni più efficaci.

Migrating is not just about moving from one place to another, leaving one’s land, goods, affections, roots, to reach an often unknown place. Migrating is also – sometimes above all – facing a long and unsafe journey, especially if you belong to one of the most vulnerable social groups.

This is what happens, for example, to unaccompanied minors during migratory journeys.

In these cases it is not a question of providing reception structures and services to receive a migratory flow, but of accompanying this flow during its journey.

What happens during the trip? What do you go through? What are the risks, where and from whom do they come? What are the vulnerabilities, what are the needs? Can that journey be made safer by using what’s already on the way? What else is needed to mitigate the risks? Can that trip also become an opportunity for empowerment?

Complex phenomena require complex responses, in which every profession – in a transdisciplinary way – can help to identify the most effective solutions.
